How we handle your information

REXD Pty Ltd·ABN 61 685 073 330·Last updated March 2026

We collect personal information so we can move freight, meet our obligations under heavy vehicle law, and employ drivers and mechanics. This page explains what we collect and what we do with it.

Who we are

REXD Pty Ltd (ABN 61 685 073 330, ACN 685 073 330) trades as Lowki Logistics and is the transport and logistics arm of the Lowki Group. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean REXD Pty Ltd.

We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can access or correct it.

What we collect

We are a business-to-business freight operator, so most of the information we hold relates to people in their work capacity. Depending on your dealings with us, we may collect:

  • Customer and enquiry information — name, employer, position, email address, phone number, and the details of the freight you want moved.
  • Consignment information — pick-up and delivery addresses, site access details, contact names at either end, the description and weight of the goods, and any special handling instructions.
  • Proof of delivery information — the name and signature of the person who received the freight, the time of delivery, and any photograph taken at handover.
  • Employee and contractor information — licence classes and expiry, work rights, training and induction records, fatigue and work diary records, drug and alcohol testing results, and payroll details.
  • Job applicant information — the contents of your application, resume, licences, references and any files you upload.
  • Vehicle and driver operational data — GPS position, fatigue monitoring, driver awareness technology output and onboard communications, collected in the course of operating heavy vehicles.
  • Website information — the content of enquiry forms you submit, and standard technical information such as your browser type and the pages you visited.

We do not collect sensitive information except where it is directly related to our functions and permitted by law — principally health, medical and drug and alcohol testing information relating to drivers and workshop staff, collected to meet heavy vehicle safety and workplace obligations.

How we collect it

Most information is collected directly from you — when you request a quote, make a booking, sign for a delivery, apply for a job, or correspond with us by phone or email.

We also collect information from third parties where it is impractical to collect it from you directly. For example, a Tier 1 transport partner may pass us a consignment that includes a receiver's contact details, or a referee may provide information about a job applicant with that applicant's knowledge.

Vehicle and driver operational data is collected automatically by equipment fitted to our fleet.

Why we use it

We use personal information to:

  • quote, book, plan, carry and deliver freight, and to keep you updated while it is in transit;
  • produce proof of delivery and resolve queries or claims about a consignment;
  • meet our obligations under heavy vehicle law, including Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management, load restraint and maintenance record-keeping;
  • prepare Journey Management Plans for time-critical and regional runs;
  • invoice you and manage our accounts;
  • assess job applications and manage our workforce;
  • investigate incidents, defects and safety matters; and
  • improve our service and, where you have asked for it, send you operational updates or rate information.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party marketing.

Who we share it with

We disclose personal information only where it is necessary to do the work or where the law requires it. That may include:

  • Tier 1 carriers and interline partners, where a delivery falls outside our own operating network and the final leg is carried by another operator;
  • Subcontracted carriers, in the limited circumstances where we do not have a serviceable vehicle or an available driver;
  • Our customers, where delivery information relates to freight they have booked;
  • Service providers such as our transport management and tracking platform, IT and communications suppliers, accountants and insurers;
  • Regulators and authorities, including Main Roads Western Australia and heavy vehicle regulators, where required or authorised by law; and
  • Professional advisers, where necessary for legal or accounting purposes.

We do not routinely disclose personal information outside Australia. Where a service provider stores data offshore, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Security and how long we keep it

We hold information in a combination of secure electronic systems and physical records at our sites. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including access controls, staff training and physical security at our depots.

We keep records for as long as we need them for the purpose they were collected, and for as long as the law requires. Some heavy vehicle compliance records — including fatigue records, maintenance records and Journey Management Plans — must be retained for set periods under transport law, and we keep those accordingly. When information is no longer needed and we are not required to keep it, we destroy or de-identify it.

Our website

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work and to understand how it is used. You can disable cookies in your browser; the site will still function, though some parts may be less convenient.

Access and correction

You can ask us for the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong, out of date or incomplete. Contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable period, and in most cases there is no charge.

We may need to verify your identity before we release information. If we refuse a request we will tell you why in writing, and explain how you can complain about that decision.
